Creating a soccer scrapbook page. With scraps.

Have you ever finished a project then turned around to find a few more pics? That’s what happened after I finished an album of my son’s soccer season…I found the banquet pics! I dug out a sheet of gray cardstock and the scraps leftover from the album. I love to save the little pieces and use them up- makes me feel so efficient and accomplished!

Scraps from: Perfect Fit Reds, gray and cranberry cardstock, Triumph Paper Pack…punches from star border maker, starburst punch, and a sports cricut cartridge. All CM except the cricut.

Using my 12″ trimmer from Creative Memories, I trimmed one of the scraps into a wide triangle to accent against the top of the page.

I started stacking my ‘scraps’ and oriented against the photo. Have you ever played the game Tetris? Kind of like that…no right or wrong, do what appeals to your eye!

Pulled out some Creative Memories Black & White titles to put across the oblong triangle.

I trimmed the cake pic slightly so it would sit beside the 4×6 team pic. Scraps on the bottom right accented with soccer ball sticker balance out the top left title. I added some handwritten journaling, and layout complete! Simple and done.

The great thing about using scraps is when you’re done, no one knows you used scraps! Using pieces you would typically throw away is a great way to expand your style.

Do you try to use up all your little pieces? Show me some pics!
