A Vintage Chic Trip to the Orchard

A trip to the apple orchard for apple cobbler and apple picking is one of our top fall traditions. The kids know to dress for pics if they want rewarded with some of the fresh apple goodies they sell! I have been hoarding away the Vintage Chic Power Palette by Creative Memories to use for the perfect occasion. As soon as I saw these pics, I knew the colors in Vintage Chic would be perfect. I dug out a pack of the Shades of Amber also and selected the ‘amber’ cardstock to coordinate.

The new Lace Trim Border Punch from Creative Memories offered a fun border. I punched the edge of the amber cardstock and layered it underneath some of the photos. I wanted to see the far right edge of the vintage print, so I only left the amber cardstock wide enough to give a mat effect to the left column of pics.

I was happy only using the amber edge but when I made the coordinating layout, I needed to bring the purple/gold print over to this layout. I punched a lace trim edge and layered underneath. To finish off this page, I fussy cut a title out of a vintage chic slide in mat.

The right layout is a piece of orange embossed cardstock from the Vintage Chic collection as a base, vintage chic print, vintage chic mat, and slide in mat for the title.

On the left side, I layered the brown print then trimmed it with skinny strips of amber cardstock. I cut a 12″ mat for the right side. The On the Vine border punch from CM provides a base for the vintage chic tiled letters.

To carry on with these layouts, I punched a lace trim edge and layered the prints, accented with old CM fall stickers. On the right side, I layered two pieces of On the Vine punch-outs with and old CM die cut (Halloween DoneWithOne) and vintage chic tiled abc elevated with foam squares.

On The Vine is currently in the Last Chance section on Creative Memories site. Vintage Chic and Shades of Amber were the old paper packs I used.

Simple layouts complete!
